The shining faithful witness.

The shining faithful witness.
We have been thinking about what image represents us the most. What represents our hearts and who we are? Have you ever noticed that the moon has no light of its own? It rises, it shines, albeit borrowed light from the sun. Man has forever been attracted to this celestial body as a spiritual or philosophical symbol. David called it the "faithful witness in heaven". It shines light, not of its own, but the light of the sun back into the darkness on the earth. For a long time, @bethel used a moon as its logo. The Bible reflects the same idea, in Isaiah 60 “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. “For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." Ephesians 5 "But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light." Although the moon is simply a symbol to us, it represents our hearts and attitude. We would love to be called the "faithful witness of heaven". We may have no light of our own. We rise and behold the son, and we become a light to the world around us. We shine albeit from the borrowed light of the son. Written by Graeme (self described space-geek)
