Located in beautiful “Supernatural British Columbia” right on Okanagan Lake. Surrounded by vineyards, ski hills, hiking, and mountain-bike trails. Kelowna is adventure-country. Kelowna boasts some of the warmest summers in Canada followed by unique “Champagne” powder in the winter. Perfect for summer water sports and deep-powder ski and snowboard experiences.
YWAM Kelowna, school calendar year starts at the beginning of our beautiful autumn hiking season and ends just before spring. You can expect short group-hiking trips in and around Kelowna during your time in DTS and if you ski or board, consider bringing your gear. There is plenty of access to ski resorts, mountains, and the back-country around Kelowna.
Youth With A Mission
Start with a Discipleship Training School or “DTS”. Stretch yourself by serving in a cross-cultural setting. Spend 6 months getting to know God and making Him known. Return, and take your School of Supernatural Missions to further your ability to impact nations, and live a purpose-driven life of faith.
YWAM history in Kelowna
YWAM has a long history in Kelowna and the surrounding areas. We are honored to build on the foundations of those who went before us and the prophetic words still seeded in the ground.
We acknowledge that we operate on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Syilx/Okanagan People.
YWAM Kelowna was planted under the blessing of the local YWAM elders, commended by YWAM Mendocino and members of YWAM Canada.

Balancing Signs, Wonders, and Core Spiritual Disciplines
Scriptural maturity requires holding miraculous ministry in balance with the unchanging fruit of the Spirit, rigorous study of Scripture, prayer, and personal holiness. Power without Christ-like character lacks eternal fruit and spiritual safety (Matthew 7:22-23, 1 Corinthians 13:1-2)
Can families and older adults join YWAM?
While larger YWAM bases often accommodate families, YWAM Kelowna is an intensive pioneering base designed primarily for individual adults. Unless uniquely led by the Holy Spirit to accommodate a family unit, our focus is on welcoming hungry, passionate believers of any adult age.
What is the School of Supernatural Missions (SSM)?
An intensive 2-month accredited training program designed to equip, refresh, and activate Christians and ministry leaders in spiritual gifts and kingdom leadership.
Personal Renewal and Overcoming Burnout on the Field
Ministry flows from communion with God, not self-reliant striving. True renewal comes through Sabbath rest, receiving daily grace, and abiding continually in Christ as the sole source of lasting strength (Matthew 11:28-30, Isaiah 40:31).
Operating in Healing, Prophecy, and Deliverance
Spiritual gifts are actively distributed by the Holy Spirit today to build up the church and validate the proclamation of the Gospel (1 Corinthians 12:7, Hebrews 2:4). Training focuses on biblical alignment, humility, and depending entirely on Christ’s authority rather than human technique.
Biblical Foundations vs. Excess in Some Christian Movements
Every spiritual manifestation must be tested against the final authority of Scripture and judged by its Christ-exalting fruit. Biblical orthodoxy and sober-mindedness govern charismatic expression to maintain purity, truth, and structural order (1 Thessalonians 5:21, 1 Corinthians 14:40).
