Ignite is a mobile ministry training program from YWAM Kelowna designed to equip local churches and Christian communities in prayer, prophecy, and supernatural healing.

Through custom 2- to 3-week immersive workshops, Ignite sends experienced teams directly into local congregations to deliver practical teaching, worship, prayer, and hands-on activation. The goal is to ignite lasting faith and spark an enduring culture of Spirit-led ministry that continues long after the workshop ends.

What Happens During an Ignite Workshop?

Each Ignite event is tailored to the specific needs of the host church or community.
Workshops combine foundational biblical teaching with practical ministry application, including:

Prophecy & Prayer: Training believers to hear God’s voice and pray with clarity and confidence.

Physical & Emotional Healing: Practical instruction on praying for sickness, emotional breakdown, and spiritual freedom.

Evangelism & Activation: Outreaches that empower participants to share faith and minister outside church walls.

Worship & Ministry Times: Immersive environments designed to seek an authentic move of the Holy Spirit.

A brief history of our ignite!

The Ignite ministry was founded by Chris, Graeme, and a team of second-year students from the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM). Inspired by their experience in Redding, California, they created a portable framework to bring BSSM-style supernatural training directly to churches worldwide.

After joining Youth With A Mission (YWAM), the team partnered with YWAM Mendocino—who had been pioneering similar mobile outreach initiatives—to expand the program globally. Today, the ministry operates out of YWAM Kelowna, bringing custom training workshops to invited communities around the world.

How to Host an Ignite Event in Your Community

1. Plan & Invite

Reach out to the YWAM Kelowna team with details about your community, location, and desired focus. Every invitation is prayerfully reviewed to align timing, duration, and goals.

2. Host

Our team arrives to run 2–3 weeks of training, worship, and practical outreach. Team members raise their own travel support, ensuring financial barriers remain low for host churches.

3. Continuous Growth & Reproduction

We provide local church leaders with tools and frameworks to reproduce the teaching, sustain momentum, and continue training firestarters within their region.
