Today it is with great sadness that we give God thanks for one of the generals that have gone before us. He demonstrated a life layed down. He kept the flame of passion burning with a daily “yes”, and has now joined the great cloud of witnesses. Loren Cunningham, the YWAM founder and apostolic father to this missions movement was a radical visionary. He kept burning no matter the cost for decades and into his final days. He never relented in his pursuit of expanding the kingdom and empowering young people to do it. God said he wanted to send waves of young people into the nations, he believed it, and that was the end of it. Because he did, many nations and generations have heard the gospel. Lord help us burn strong all the days of our lives, may we have courage to offer a daily yes, and may our story be that lives are changed because of Christ in me, the hope of glory.
