When we shake off the inhibition, shame, failure, and disappointment from our malformed adolescences we discover the child at the center waiting to be encouraged back to joy as they discover God in all His love. This unwrapping takes anywhere from a one-time encounter or a lifetime of encounters with the grace of God. Today we pray for all those who find themselves stuck asking their past for permission to be awesome today. We pray that you would encounter God deep on the inside and shed years of disqualification and disappointment. Amen.
