Burning Ones DTS | Discipleship Training School
The Journey of Knowing Him and Making Him Known Together
Finding a space where you actually belong changes everything, especially surrounded by people who prefer walking with Jesus over just talking about Him. The Burning Ones DTS is a six-month journey of honest questions and discovery, an invitation to move past the noise and find a faith that finally feels real. A shared life where walking with Jesus is your daily reality, one where our hearts catch fire as we discover ourselves in His greater story. Find your place at this table, and help others find theirs as we carry this invitation to the nations.
They said to each other,
Luke 24:32 ESV
”Did not our hearts BURN within us while he talked to us on the road, while He opened to us the Scriptures?

Road to Emmaus
Two disciples walked a path of disappointment, unaware that Hope was walking right beside them. Through the Scriptures and a simple meal, their eyes were opened to a truth that changed everything: Jesus was there all along.
Burning Ones?
We exist to help you see Him. We are a community that lives, listens, and breaks bread together—creating space for the same fire that hit the disciples to hit us. Join us as we move from simply knowing about Him to having our hearts burn within us for Him.

What is a DTS?
Know God | Make Him known
The heart of a Discipleship Training School (DTS) is to discover more of who Jesus is, with a community of people who also desire to learn how to let Him shape us into who He designed each one of us to be. We do this by letting the words of Jesus form the way we live, from cooking together, doing dishes and yard work, or in how we communicate and honor, learning how to listen to one another. As a community we set aside these 6-months to spend personal time with Jesus, listen to teachings helping us get to know Him, discuss what we are discovering around the dining table as well as living it out practically in daily life here and in a cross-cultural setting.
“When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight”.
Luke 24:30-31
This season is designed for you to move forward with a strengthened foundation and relationship with Jesus, having discovered and developed skills and tools in how to navigate faith, work, life, and relationships!
Lecture Phase
The Lecture Phase is three months of the DTS where together we get to ask honest questions, learning how to live with Jesus, and not just what to believe as we dive into teachings, discussion and God’s Word. This time is focused on knowing God, not only with greater understanding but also in a personal way which shapes how we live. Through 1 on 1 mentorship, small groups, classroom settings, and rhythms of life this is a time of both encountering His great love, and learning how to integrate His love in our own lives so we can share it with the world around us, wherever we are, and wherever there is a need for His deep love.
“They asked each other, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?’”
Luke 24:32
Weekly topics will be taught by a variety of speakers who don’t just teach, but live out and carry in their hearts what they share.
Topics like: Sustainable Faith and Emotional Maturity, Hearing the Voice of God, The Nature and Character of God, Holy Spirit, Jesus & The Cross, Evangelism, The Father Heart of God, Spiritual Warfare, Kingdom Culture, God’s Heart for the Nations, Relationships, and Identity & Destiny.

Outreach Phase
We will also be spending two and a half months in a cross-cultural setting, where we are able to learn how walk with Jesus even in settings we are not used to. In this phase of DTS, we will learn how to set our own rhythms of life where we are not only focused on our own growth, but in also sharing God’s great love and empowerment we have encountered to the nations. This is a time where we discover how to be a safe space for others, inviting people into relationship with Jesus, like we ourselves have experienced. We also get to show who His is through practical service, how we communicate and interact with one another, living life outside of the classroom environment.
“They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together”
-Luke 24:33
On the Outreach(s), we get to live alongside Jesus together, learning how to listen to His leading in how to love those around us the way He did and does! It is so exciting to see Jesus revealing Himself to others through our lives, this invitation to us, to be a part of caring for the whole person in every area of the world!
“While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’”
